A World Class Shopping Mall

Sunshine Plaza is a world-class retail experience and a must-visit destination on the Sunshine Coast, celebrated by locals and tourists for its globally recognised brands and relaxed dining.

Following a $420 million redevelopment, Sunshine Plaza boasts the largest and most diverse retail offering on the Sunshine Coast, with over 300 specialty stores together with David Jones, Myer, Kmart, Target, Big W, Coles and Woolworths. Due to its unique setting along the waterway of Cornmeal Creek, Sunshine Plaza features an incredible waterfront Riverwalk precinct, home to 16 dining options. Family friendly entertainment options include a 12-screen BCC Cinema, regular live music, as well as paddle boats for those wanting to capture the essence of Australia’s popular coastal lifestyle.

Black Friday 2021

With Black Friday 2021 approaching, Sunshine Coast locals will find the greatest range of gift ideas and homewares to choose from.  So be ready for the Black Friday sales so that you can be prepared for Click Frenzy and other Online shopping opportunities.

Every outlet is catered for… from a quaint book store to the all-important food court.

Why not enjoy your Muffin Break coffee while you do your Coles online shopping? There is even a Barber Shop where you can get the latest hairstyles, while others go shopping.  You may even find the Secret Sneakers Store.

Best Shopping Centre North of Brisbane

For visitors from Brisbane, the Sunshine Plaza is very similar to The Hyperdome Shopping Centre.  Or if you’re coming down from north Queensland, it is also similar to the Galleria Cairns.  The Sunshine Plaza is an impressive mall with lots of different coffee outlets such as the “Little Sparrow’ where you can relax.

So many stores have online shopping these days.

There is Big-W online shopping, Target online shopping plus Coles online shopping.  It’s a good idea to browse the Woolies catalogue before you shop or do your online shopping.  While you are picking up your Woollies catalogue you can check out any clearance sale items.  It’s so much easier to do Coles online shopping while relaxing in the outdoor dining spaces, then pick up your grocery store items later in the day.

Sunshine Plaza’s Grand Opening

Apollo 11 Vmax Screening at Maroochydore

First man on the Moon

A 90-minute historic movie will be screened from tomorrow at the Event Cinema at Maroochydore Sunshine Plaza.  Directed by Todd Douglas Miller, it is, in reality, a cinematic event that has been in the making for the past 50 years.  Apparently, old 65mm movie film has been unearthed from the bowels of NASA’s archives, along with 11,000 hours of recorded audio.

The movie is titled simply Apollo 11.  It tells the story of the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing mission from the perspective of the astronauts themselves and the team of mission controllers in Houston Texas, along with the millions of observers on earth.  Screened in the large screen VMax Cinema in Maroochydore, patrons can experience first hand those five momentous days when astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins left the safety of Earth to orbit and land upon the surface of the moon and return safely again to Earth.
